Director Samy banned for a year

The Tamil Film Associations including Producers Council, Directors Association and Nadigar Sangam jointly held an inquiry on the tiff between actress Padmapriya and director Samy in Chennai on Monday. The director slapped actress on the sets of 'Mirugam'. After the inquiry, it was unanimously agreed to impose a one-year-ban on director Samy from making movies in any language. However he was allowed to complete 'Mirugam'. The director also sought an apology from the actress. The meeting was attended by the honchos of all the association.
