Priyadarshan's 'Manichithrathaazhu' by October 12

Malayalee Director Priyadarshan's version of 'Manichithrathaazhu' titled 'Bhool Bhulaiya' will hit the screens by the twelfth of October. The film which has Akshay Kumar donning the role of Mohanlal in the original will be a treat to watch as Priyan has been making it with a biggest splendor. Priyan has been pretty successful in bringing out best of the emotions from Lal, one of his best friends in the circuit. And now it will be interesting see how Priyadarshan will get the act going from Akshay. The film has Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja in the roles of Shobhana and Suresh Gopi in the original. 'Manichithrathaazhu' (1994) which was a phenomenal hit in Malayalam was then later remade into Kannada in the title 'Apthamithra' which was also the biggest hit of the year. Later when it was remade into Tamil with Rajnikanth as 'Chandramukhi' the film became one of the best from him. 'Chandramukhi' had just completed 800 days in select theatres in Kollywood. And now, when a malayalee himself is attempting for its remake in Bollywood with 'Bhool Bhulaiya', much is expected from the film in the trade circuits.
