Mamta croons in Kaalai

After Loosu Pennea… that chartbuster, actor Simbu has written the lyrics of the songs for his forthcoming film Kaalai. And the big news is that Mamta Mohandas the svelte actress has crooned for a song which is composed by music director G.V.Prakash. Says Simbu: “Since Vaali sir was not feeling well, I took over and wrote the song”. It is a rap song sung by G.V.Prakash himself and in the female version, when they wanted a new voice, Simbu suggested Mamta’s name. And recently Mamta had bagged the Filmfare award for Best female playback singer for her number in the Telugu film Rakhee. The song recorded for Kaalai is -- Kalla kaala kaala adangada kalla, mela mella mella yenkadhal un mella…. will be picturised on Simbu and Vedika in Venice & Rome in October. The film is slated for a Diwali release.
